The Odisha Community Japan (OCJ) together with their sponsors and patrons will celebrate the 2016 Rath Yatra in KAWASAKI on 10th July. This will be the 9th consecutive year of our celebration in Japan. During the event a 3-meter tall chariot will be pulled by participants on a road near Keikyu-Kawasaki station.
In addition to the chariot pulling spectacular dance and plays will be performed during the parade. Prasad and dinner will be distributed after the chariot pulling. Please join us in this celebration that has common heritage between India and Japan.

10:00-13:00 Prayers Kawasaki Tokaido Inn Hall
13:00-14:00 Chera pahanra by Vice-Mayor Mr. Miura, odishi dance, awa odori, kirtan and start of Rath Yatra from Ginza street
14:40-14:50 Rath arrival, Japanese drum, and other performances in front of Kawasaki Shinkan Bank
15:20-16:20 Rath arrival behind the city office, Japanese drum, speeches by Kawasaki Mayor Hon. Mr. Fukuda, Represetnative of Embassy of India, Hon. Mr. Hira and other dignitaries and Indian and Japanese dances on stage
16:20-17:00 Rath is pulled back to Frontier building/Kawasaki Camber of Commerce and Industry
17:30-19:30 Dinner and performances, 2F Frontier building.
